Below is a sample of the more than 22 organizations and coalitions that the Alliance staff is actively participating in:
- The Children’s Advocacy Center was formed to reduce trauma to a child who is a victim of sexual abuse, provide needed services efficiently, and to gather sufficient evidence for the adult’s prosecution.
- Help Me Graduate is a faith-based initiative that was formed to increase the graduation rates in the community through partnerships with area churches.
- Community Child Protection Team - a community endorsed approach to child protection for all children
- Gaston County Schools Health Advisory Council - advocates for health services and programs for school children
- Gaston Together Leadership Team Chair - provides facilitation services at no cost to area agencies
- Gaston Community Healthcare Commission - advocates for health issues in the county
Alliance for Children & Youth encourages community and youth programs to work together more efficiently. The Alliance facilitates, monitors, and orchestrates needed programs with the goal of fitting them into funded programs. We are adults working with adults to help children prepare for life.
